Since 2007 the duo SMACKTOWN has been pioneering their earth rendering fusion between Hardcore Hip Hop and Heavy Electronica, capturing the hearts of their loyal fan base of the self-titled “Smacktillians” with their indescribable sound and performances that is considered an onslaught to all five senses of each individual, leaving fans and first timers fiending.

 

The duo’s powerhouse double time flows, monstrous production & DJing skills, political content and revered stage-presence have consequently shaped them into an unstoppable force in the music scene, resulting in performances at a variety of events including; Festivals (We Love Sounds), Festival after parties (We Love Sounds, Park Life, Cream Fields & Field Day), Music awards (2009 AIMAS Awards – opening performance / after party) and some of the wildest nights Australia has seen to date.

 

This ever spreading reputation has drawn the attention of some of our biggest home-grown talents, as well as a number of international heavyweights. A few names SMACKTOWN have shared the stage with and in some instances, collaborated with include; La Coka Nostra, Atrak, Xzibit, Jarren Benton, Jeff Turner, The Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Justice and many more.

 

After releasing three successful EPs which have earned various accolades including; Reaching Top 10 placements in the Beatport and Triple J Unearthed charts and AIMAS Awards 2010, 2012 & 2013 finalists in the ”Urban,” “Electronic,” “DJ” and “Producer Of The Year” categories. SMACKTOWN have their sights set on continuing to promote the Powerless / Chelsea Grin EP and taking their raw and chaotic sound from the heart of Sydney and spreading it to every corner of the world.
